What to check before buying
- Address and reference
- Search the full property address and nearby road names. Applications can be recorded under an earlier house name or adjoining field.
- Approved drawings
- The proposal summary is not the permission. Compare the approved plans with what is physically at the property.
- Conditions
- Check pre-commencement, materials, landscaping, occupancy and time-limit conditions, and whether they were discharged.
- Later applications
- A later amendment, refusal or appeal may change the position shown by the first result.
