Le Coin

Le Coin

Description

A wonderful opportunity to acquire a much-loved family home with a superb self-contained annexe in the highly sought-after parish of St. Brelade, within an immediate, level walk of parish amenities and just a short distance from St. Brelade’s Bay, Corbière and the spectacular cliff paths that make this part of Jersey particularly special.

Constructed in 1952, Le Coin occupies a larger-than-average plot on the corner of Route Orange and Elizabeth Avenue. Its predominantly south-facing orientation allows the house and gardens to benefit from abundant natural light throughout the day, while the generous site provides excellent outside space, extensive parking and further potential for the future.

The main house is arranged over two floors and provides spacious, exceptionally well-maintained accommodation. A useful entrance porch opens into the welcoming hallway, with a cloakroom and access to the principal reception rooms.

The generous sitting room features a characterful fireplace and provides an inviting space in which to relax. Beyond is a separate formal dining room, equally suited as an additional sitting or family room depending on requirements.

The smart separate kitchen is fitted with contemporary cabinetry, granite worktops and quality appliances, while the former garage has been converted to provide a further reception space. This could readily be reinstated as a single garage if preferred. A particularly well-finished utility room, completed to the same high standard as the kitchen, leads through to the conservatory, which enjoys a delightful outlook across the gardens.

The conservatory also creates an excellent internal connection between the main house and the adjoining annexe, allowing the two elements to function seamlessly as one home or to be separated entirely when required.

The annexe is an outstanding addition to the property and benefits from its own independent access to the rear. Entirely arranged on one level without steps, the accommodation comprises an entrance hall, open-plan sitting/dining room and kitchen, double bedroom and en suite shower room. It is ideally suited to two-generation living, an independent relative, older children or visiting family and guests, while retaining an important degree of privacy.

Returning to the main house, stairs rise to a notably spacious first-floor landing from which there are three generous double bedrooms, one benefiting from its own en suite, together with the family bathroom.

Externally, Le Coin continues to impress. There is an exceptional level of parking for multiple vehicles, extensive terracing and a substantial lawned garden, all attractively enclosed by established trees and mature shrubs. The predominantly south-facing aspect makes the outside space particularly enjoyable and provides an excellent environment for family life and entertaining.

Immaculately maintained and offering comfortable immediate living, Le Coin is a highly versatile property with the considerable advantage of its independent annexe, generous plot and excellent location. It also offers exciting scope to extend, reconfigure or further develop the existing accommodation in the future, subject to the necessary permissions.

A genuine family home in one of Jersey’s most desirable parishes, combining space, flexibility and convenience with the beaches, coastline and natural beauty of St. Brelade close at hand.

A useful first look

Explore rooftop solar potential

Explore the official Jersey rooftop map and our guide to the checks that matter. Find the correct building on the map; we have not matched or assessed this property’s roof.

Indicative map only—not a roof survey, energy quote or planning approval. For a flat or rented home, check who controls the roof.

What would this cost to buy?

A live estimate, not a quote — change any figure below and everything recalculates immediately. Stamp duty / Land Transaction Tax uses Jersey's own standard-residence bands (see buying property in Jersey for the full table and how share-transfer property differs); the mortgage side is a standard capital-and-interest repayment calculation, not an offer from any lender.

Getting connected

Jersey has two residential broadband providers: JT — the island's own former state telecom, now Jersey's full-fibre network builder — and Sure, which completed absorbing Airtel-Vodafone's Channel Islands customer base in September 2025 (Airtel-Vodafone no longer trades as a separate operator here). Jersey's copper phone network is largely already history: JT finished building an island-wide fibre-to-the-home network back in July 2018 and has been retiring copper ever since — well ahead of Guernsey, where the equivalent copper switch-off was still under way through 2026. Always confirm actual coverage and switch-over status at this specific address directly with JT or Sure before assuming.
