Listed status is a real legal constraint
Under the Planning and Building (Jersey) Law 2002, alterations, extensions and demolition of a listed building or place typically need Listed Building Consent, on top of ordinary planning permission.
St Clement's School is of significance to Jersey as a purpose-built Victorian primary school, one of the nine parish schools that were built in the late Victorian period as a result of 'The Law on Primary Instruction', 1894.
