Church House & Norwich Union House
Church Street, St. Helier · Listed Building Grade 4 · Reference HE0861
Listed status is a real legal constraint
Under the Planning and Building (Jersey) Law 2002, alterations, extensions and demolition of a listed building or place typically need Listed Building Consent, on top of ordinary planning permission.
A dramatic and very interesting interpretation of the Gothic style. One of the best post-war buildings on Jersey, interestingly composed and well detailed. A good example of reinforced concrete work.
