Under the Planning and Building (Jersey) Law 2002, alterations, extensions and demolition of a listed building or place typically need Listed Building Consent, on top of ordinary planning permission.
This unusually grand building for the street retains a highly decorated Victorian front elevation. It may be a re-working of a late 18th century / early 19th century building as a similar footprint is clearly visible on the 1834 Le Gros map.
