Under the Planning and Building (Jersey) Law 2002, alterations, extensions and demolition of a listed building or place typically need Listed Building Consent, on top of ordinary planning permission.
One of a rare terrace of late C18 seafront cottages which originally turned their backs on the sea. Retains many early features as well as evidence of aggrandisement in the mid-late C19.
