Cenotaph
The Parade, St. Helier · Listed Building Grade 1 · Reference HE1274
Listed status is a real legal constraint
Under the Planning and Building (Jersey) Law 2002, alterations, extensions and demolition of a listed building or place typically need Listed Building Consent, on top of ordinary planning permission.
The Cenotaph, 1923, is of considerable significance to the island community and is a poignant reminder of the tragic impact of world events. It is also one of Jersey's finest works of public art.
